This white cross-stitched quilt cover on blue ground has adopted the commonly-seen flower composite pattern. Interestingly, hidden in the central birds are the two Chinese characters “flying bird”, one in intaglio and the other in relief. The pattern shows very clever composition and exquisite formation.
